I could see this being used for organizations that provide housing for those in need. Just like classrooms, when it comes to shelter there are very practical, everyday things that are needed, whether it's paint for walls, pots and pans, a usable couch, etc. These things people often have extras of in good condition, and by having a DonorsChoose-like platform to find out that a nearby family might need something specific would maybe encourage people to donate directly their extra items to those who could benefit.
